Today was the day that I decided to introduce Julie to my mile high apple pie. I had some apples and she wanted me to bake her something. For those of you who have tasted and seen my apple pie, you know that it’s a thing of beauty and this one was to be no different. I used my perfect blend of different apples and built this sucker up layer-by-layer of apples. Julie started calling it two-mile high apple pie, it was huge and had the most perfectly golden crust. And it was oh so delicious served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
It was a lazy day of hanging out and baking time in the kitchen, two of my favorite things. :)
