Thursday, October 11: Tippecanoe SP, Indiana

Tippecanoe was a great little campsite and there were quite a few people set up there. They were all booked up for the weekend, so I was only going to get to stay there for the one day. The lady in the Park Office, Carol, gave me a list of the sites I could choose from and told me that a someone would be by later to register me.

I set up camp two spaces away from the camp hosts, John and Brenda, again some seasoned pros. They’ve been hosting for about 14 years now and they also invited me to sit around the campfire. They were super nice people and Brenda was just the sweetest little old lady. Brian, the park ranger, stopped by and registered me for my site and hung out with the rest of us. Later, after saying goodnight to everyone, he asked me for my email address so that he could “stay in touch with me.” Um, yeah, I’ll add you to the list of the broken-hearted Brian! Kudos for giving it a shot though. J
