I left Boston this morning and began the drive down to New York City to spend some time with my cousin, Jason. Everything went smoothly until I arrived in Manhattan. I knew driving in the city would be bad, but damn. Those roads are just a mass of cluster fucks overpopulated my crazy f-ing cab drivers and people who lay on their horns way too damn much. Fucking Yankees. I missed my cousin’s place about three times thanks to a group of trucks blocking my view of the building and ended up passing Broadway and Park Avenue praying for a way to get back east of all the chaos. I was developing a major case of road rage as the dick face drivers honked at me for no apparent reason, I guess they wanted me to run down the pedestrians so that they could go. As a result, I screamed a few “FUCK YOUs” at them and continued my journey.
I finally found a spot a few blocks away from Jason’s place, right smack dab in the middle of the projects. At least it was the Chelsea Projects, my car would be about as safe as I could expect on the streets of New York. I was frazzled and looking a little worse for the wear when I got to Jason’s place. I caught a peak of myself in the mirror and exclaimed to Jason that looking a little rough around the edges was an understatement for me at that moment.
This weekend, the Gay Superbowl was in town and Jason’s friend, Jeff, from San Diego was in town playing for one of the SD teams. After a shower, I looked and felt like a whole new person and Jeff later told me that it was like I was two different people and I emerged from the shower looking totally different. Leave it to a gay man to tell it to you straight. I quickly decided that I loved Jeff and off to dinner we all went to a great little Thai place around the corner called Spice, it was super delicious. Then, it was time for one of the football after parties at a place called Bamboo 52 and then Therapy. I think I was the only chick around, but I had a blast with all of my gay boys. They were beautiful eye candy. ;)
