Friday, October 19: Slushy Wyoming

The weather was supposed to be pretty nasty and when I woke up this morning, it sure was proving to be true. It was cold, cloudy, gray and there was a mix of rain and snow, which made things very slushy. It looked like I wasn’t going to get to Yellowstone today. I drove up to the ranger station in Moose just in case to see what the current conditions were like up there. It was pretty nasty, they were getting a lot more snow and most of the interior roads were closed due to the severe weather. It’s not supposed to get better until Sunday or Monday. So, I decided to stay in Jackson Hole a few more days because when will the next time Ii have a chance to see Yellowstone arise?

So, I chatted with the people at the front desk and told them I wanted to stay a few more days. Richie, the manager, just bought a new MacBook Pro and we had a lengthy discussion about how Macs are awesome. It’s his first Mac ever, so I had a great time schooling him on all things Apple. :)
