It was a long ass drive to this campsite, somewhere around ten hours, but it didn't seem like it at all. I left around 6:40-ish this morning and was glad to be leaving bothe Raleigh and the Dousche Bag behind...peace out!
So, with my cruise control on and the help of some awesome radio stations, I was off. I used my cruise control so much that when it came time to actually control the gas, I felt like I had to press a lot harder than normal! Gotta love autopilot. I was on a bunch of scenic highways through Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania that meandered through the mountains and several farming towns. Which reminds me, some farm town in southern Virgina reeked of smelly feet and stale farts...YUCK!
Traffic wasn't too bad either, with the exception of the DC area and Baltimore where the highways are just a mass of clusterfucks at any time of the day. No worries though, I just admired the views and kept on going. I never knew that barns were so freaking massive, they're just HUGE!!!
The leaves are already beginning to wear their fall colors, splattered with bright blotches of yellows, oranges and crimson reds. It's just beautiful.
So, here I am, writing this entry safe and secure in my tent while the onset of a rain storm can be heard quaking nearby. I made an early dinner of Spaghetti-O's and PB&J...yummy. I'm camping amongst the RVers here in the park as I was going to be the only one tent camping and I opted to be near people. There was one family and a handful of older couples just chilling out and fishing. I'm going to plug in the DVD player and just relax before falling asleep to the sound of the crickets. Tomorrow I'm off to Boston for some good old fashioned fun with all my relatives, i can't wait. Maybe I'll even score some more Red Sox stuff! :)
