August 18: Rodin Museum and Chinatown

Today I slept in, for at least an extra hour and made my way to the Rodin Museum around noon. I once again bought the audio tour and made my way through the largest Rodin collection outside of Paris. It was freaking amazing, just as I expected. I stayed there for about two hours and took a ton of pictures. At the front of the museum was the first casting of Rodin's "Gates of Hell" and it was unbelievable. I felt so inspired that when I left all I could think about was how much I had enjoyed making sculptures and that maybe I should get back into it. Ah, we'll see.

After that, I made my way down Ben Franklin Parkway, through Love Park and City Hall and down to China Town. I love how most major cities have different neighborhoods like Chinatown and an Italian section. The people watching was awesome and there were several groups set up on the streets with microphones and bullhorns preaching to the crowds. One group was preaching about the glories of God and how we should concentrate on being closer to him and another group of radicals was saying that Christ and Mary are imposters and how religion is a farce, etc. Quite a day indeed.

I headed down to Rittenhouse Square for dinner and had an amazing meal. Then, back to the hotel. I'm all packed up and ready for my flight back to Florida tomorrow. It makes me sad to leave such an amazing city, but I did have a blast during my time here. Everyone should come and enjoy this city, taking in everything it has to offer. I can't wait for my next visit!!!

Just finished reading about the Philly excursion! Sweet...but did you find the greatest Philly Cheesesteak during your stay? Better yet, did you hit Pats or Genos, because that is where the great Cheesesteaks reside!!!!
