Ah, Miami, such a cool city. I just got back from AIGA's leadership retreat in Miami a few days ago and it was a blast!!! I haven't had an opportunity to get down to Miami and really enjoy it for a few years now, so it was great to go down and play with some friends. There were a ton of really great things about Miami as well as some killer stories and pictures, so I've decided to break them down into several blogs so that they don't run too long. The pictures above are of our hotel, Loews Miami Beach, our room (minus that silly hat and scarf) and the pool (where I spent the majority of my nights)! For this entry, I've decided to do a quick list of what I refer to as...
"Memorable Miami"
• The biggest condom display I have ever seen in my entire life! It was at the Walgreens nearby and it was seriously at least 10'x8'. I'm not kidding, it was ridiculous, but good to know that they were pushing safe sex.
•Bum fights
•Banana Snakes
•"Dirty Mistress" photoshoot
•Sunrise over the water
•The "clothing optional" South Beach attire
•Blackberry and Kiwi gelato...yummy!
•Lunch with my twin, Karen :)
•Poolside Pringles trivia for beer
•The swim meet with Seattle chapter (you guys kick ass, even if you did swim into a wall and take out some other inncent folks)
•Hotel valet parking at $31.00 a day
•Spooge on the bed at Delano....freaking nasty!
•$200 bathing suits
•Russel's heart-shaped nipples (don't worry, there's pictures of it)!!!
•Drunk people declaring "is it time for the sex?" -You know who you are ;)
•Mint Mojito gum
•The Wolfsonian Museum
•Termite infested barbecues
•Miami Ink (much smaller than it looks on TV I might add)
•Topless and nude beaches
•Wild parrots
•Declaration of three year old crushes, who knew AIGA Jax's board had such a strong hold on people.
•Room number visitation offers (Yes, it means what I'm inferring to. I didn't take anyone up on the offer, but I can't speak for all of us, wink wink)
•Beer shopping and carrying three cases of beer and a cooler back to the hotel in heels. Yes, Karen and I are the coolest women on the face of the earth. (Until the pant splitting incident, haha)
•Having two men vying for my attention all night (there will be a blog devoted to this I'm sure because it's pretty humorous, too bad no one got a picture)!
•More poolside prizes, but this time we made people tell us a funny joke in order to get a t-shirt. Some involved triscuits, trains, psychiatrists, black eyes and wheaties and more that I can't remember.
•Jerry's Deli, home of the biggest freaking menu I have ever seen!!!!
•Chapter name changes...the Jacksonville AIGA chapter is from this time forward to be known as "Actionville". As a response, Omaha's chapter was dubbed "Blowmaha". Since next year's retreat is to be held in Omaha, both chapters have mutually decided to have t-shirts made with the phrase "Actionville does Blowmaha". Oh yes, until next year my AIGA peeps, until next year!

I'm glad someone's keeping track of all the nuttiness that happened during that weekend. ...and there's some stuff in there that I'm not even aware of. So, you gots some 'splainin' to do! :)

um lets talk about russel's heart shape nipples again. muahahahaha. i totally forgot about that. man things have been crazy around here--sorry i haven't posted! i need to get like an RSS feed to this to know when it gets updated! I will catch up more later...at work now.
KELLY!!! Just got back from Costa Rica! Had a blast there. So cool and exciting...then my bags were stolen. Not so cool.
With that, all the pics and sketches from Miami, ie. how much Russel loves AIGA and the "Dirty Mistress" photoshoot are gone, as well.
Luckily we had 2 cameras.
I do miss that "Dirty Mistress" shot though.
